What we expect from you ?
At Tomeco, we grow a wide range of tomato varieties for our customers, including San Marzano, plum tomatoes, Coeur De Boeuf and snack tomatoes. Every day is a new puzzle where we determine which variety grows best in which location, depending on market demand. What will you do?
- Biology: Maintain a healthy biological balance in the greenhouse by identifying pests early and monitoring beneficial insects. You determine an integrated approach to achieving balance, acting first biologically and physically
.
- Measurements: Take weekly measurements such as pH, EC and nitrite levels, and analyze them to optimize growing conditions. Take regular water and leaf samples for laboratory analysis and make crop forecasts based on crop measurements

- Advice: Get weekly or bi-weekly advice from external crop advisors and technical biology consultants. Work together in teams and liaise with management to provide them with information.
What your profile is ?
We are looking for someone with a passion for horticulture, especially growing tomatoes. A completed degree in horticulture is desirable, and practical experience is a plus, but not necessary; motivated starters are also welcome. You have strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. In addition, you have an eye for detail and work accurately. Flexibility and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
As a Cultivation and Biology Assistant, you are the linchpin in our cultivation process. Under the guidance of our cultivation manager or cultivation manager and management, you will learn all the tricks of the trade.
You will work with a wide range of tomato varieties including San Marzano, plum tomatoes, Coeur De Boeuf and snack tomatoes. Every day offers new challenges and learning opportunities!
