What we expect from you ?
As a logistician with the leadership of a team of approximately 30 people, you play an important role in coordinating and managing various logistics processes. Your responsibilities range from personnel management to planning harvest forecasts, orders and transportation.
You are responsible for:
- Buddy principle: You help new colleagues get started by showing them around and how everything works, such as weighing packages and sorting by quality.
- Monitoring and controlling team performance to ensure efficiency and quality.
- making accurate tomato crop forecasts.
- Managing harvest planning for optimal production and delivery.
- Checking and scheduling orders, especially for the auction Cooperative Hoogstraten.
- Maintaining contact between greenhouses for efficient harvest planning and management.
- Managing the clock supply and making supply sources in the auction system.
- stock management of boxes, cartons, pallets and labels.
- Ensuring proper tracking labels on orders.
- Communicating with drivers about product transportation.
- Weighing packages, grading and quality control of tomatoes.
- Solving minor malfunctions and calling in technical service for larger problems.
- Maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse.
- roll up your sleeves to keep all processes running efficiently.
- Duringbusy periods , extra hours may be needed and sometimes work on Saturdays to complete everything.
What your profile is ?
- Education and experience: You have a secondary (technical) degree or have experience in the logistics sector (e.g. as a warehouse manager). This ensures that you have the necessary insight.
- Driving License: A driving license CE is a plus. For a forklift or reach truck, you can also obtain your certificate through Tomeco.
- Language Skills: You speak Dutch and your English is good enough to make yourself understood by colleagues, both orally and in writing.
- Initiative and independence: You have a sense of initiative and can work independently.
- Work ethic: You are a hard worker, quick on your feet and absolutely do not have two left hands.
- Hands-on mentality: You are very hands-on, which is essential to manage your team.

- A full-time, open-ended contract: You will work a standard 38-hour week, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday until 2:30 p.m.
